Informational meeting; safe home for girls

Guest speaker Loretta Bedford will share an informative message about The Refuge of Light in Tyler, Texas.

All persons in Sabine County are invited to attend. The presentation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. The Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church will host the meeting in the Fellowship Hall.

The Public is Invited

First United Methodist Women will host a meeting in the Church Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. The guest speaker will be Loretta Bedford who is associated with Refuge of Light in Tyler, Texas.

This group is dedicated to establishing a long-term safe home for girls under the age of 18.

The public is invited; bring a friend and hear an informative message about the growing crime of Child Sex Trafficking in both Texas and the entire United States.

Beautification Effort

Youth group has been active in church beautification effort.

This started with removing older hedges from the church.

Bob Byars brought his tractor and Shay Galloway and Anthony Hernandez

removed the old hedges and prepared the soil for Fall planting.

As it gets cooler they’ll replace with something more lovely.

Welcome Back Luncheon

As part of First United Methodist Church’s discipleship opportunity,

the Methodist Women held their annual “Welcome Luncheon”

for Hemphill ISD teachers and staff on August 18.

Church members were invited to participate in the school supply drive.
