The First United Methodist Church in Hemphill has opened The Seed Patch, an after school enrichment program.
Students registering for the program will be picked up at the school and brought to Hemphill FUMC. A snack will be provided along with tutoring. When time permits, students will also participate in Bible study or craft time. Amanda Drennan, program director, states, “The main focus of the program is getting homework done.”
Monthly tuition is charged based on the number of children attending per family. For one student the cost is $180 per month; for two children the cost is $150 per student per month; and for three or more children, the cost is $130 per student per month.
The after school enrichment program serves students in Pre-K through 8th grade.
The First United Methodist Church is located directly across from Hemphill ISD Administration on Milam Street in Hemphill.
